Heidi Blickenstaff

Heidi has long been interested in giving back. From participating in Bike MS to supporting various initiatives with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, Heidi’s passion has been to make a difference. During the COVID-19 pandemic stay-at-home order, with Broadway shut down and time on their hands, Heidi and her husband, entertainment attorney Nicholas Rohlfing founded Broadway Because, their non-profit organization that utilizes the incredible outreach and talents of the Broadway community to address a variety of social issues and charitable causes.

Heidi, a Broadway and television actress and teacher based in New York City, is perhaps best known for playing a version of herself in the original Broadway and off-Broadway musical [title of show], that she co-conceived with her best friends and collaborators. Most recently, Heidi starred in Disney’s Freaky Friday, originating the role of Katherine in both the theatrical world premiere and Disney Channel’s Original Movie. She was last seen on Broadway playing Bea in the original Broadway cast of Something Rotten! Heidi travels all over the country and the world doing concerts and master classes and can be heard on many cast albums, but her first love is Broadway and making new things. She’s the the proud step-mom of teenage stepsons Jonah and Malcom, and dog mamma to Eleanor.

Nicholas Rohlfing

Nicholas is the co-founder of Broadway Because and is a proud member of the New York Broadway community. He is the owner of Nicholas Rohlfing Law, a transactional entertainment law firm in New York City representing a variety of clients in the entertainment field.
